The Waynor Rowing Experience
Waynor Rowing gives young athletes the chance to try something new, build real confidence, and become part of a team that believes growth comes through challenge, encouragement, and showing up for one another.
Meet Your Coaches
Waynor Rowing was founded by Steven and Whitney, lifelong rowers who first discovered the sport while growing up in Florida. Steven went on to row at the University of Washington, while Whitney competed for the Florida Institute of Technology.
After their own rowing careers, both spent more than a decade coaching, and even met while coaching opposing teams. Today, they live in Snoqualmie with their daughter, Stella. When they are not on the water, they can usually be found skiing, running, hiking, or enjoying the outdoors together.

The Boats

The Oar Board is a stable, forgiving boat that helps young rowers learn the fundamentals of rowing. Athletes will row both one- and two-person boats, allowing them to build independence while also learning rhythm and teamwork with a partner. Its wide platform makes balance easier, so rowers can focus on technique, steering, and safe boat handling.
The Venue

Conveniently located in Issaquah, Washington, Lake Sammamish State Park is an ideal place to learn to row, with a large beach for launching, plenty of space for instruction and team activities, and generally calm water that helps new rowers feel comfortable and confident.
The Team

Practices follow a consistent, structured routine built around teamwork and collaboration. Athletes learn together, support one another, and share responsibility for preparing equipment, developing their skills, and creating a positive team environment.
