Registration Information

Please review the registration requirements below and complete the registration form at the bottom of the page.

  • Your athlete meets the age and experience requirements listed for the program.
  • A parent or legal guardian is completing registration for each participant under age 18.
  • Your athlete is able to attend at least 80% of the scheduled program sessions.
  • You are prepared to complete required waivers, health information, emergency contacts, and other participation forms before the first session.
  • Your athlete is able to pass a swim test. Swim test exemptions are available for participants who wear a Waynor-provided PFD whenever they are in the boat. If your child would like to participate but needs an exemption, please email Steven directly at steven@waynorrowing.org before registering so we can discuss the accommodation.

Registration is complete once all required forms are submitted and the initial membership payment has been received.

Payment, Cancellation and Refunds

Payment:

Your Program Membership fee is listed on the registration form below. Payment is due at registration.

Cancellation and Refunds:

  • Before the program begins: Membership payments may be refunded less a nonrefundable enrollment deposit of $100.
  • After the program begins: Program Membership fees are 50% refundable for athletes who cancel within the first week of practice. At the start of the second week, membership fees are nonrefundable.
  • Illness, injury, or unexpected family circumstances: Waynor Rowing will make reasonable efforts to work with families when an athlete cannot continue because of circumstances outside their control. Any credit, partial refund, or transfer will be considered individually.
  • Program cancellation by Waynor Rowing: Families may choose a full refund or transfer to another available Waynor Rowing program.
  • Weather and water conditions: Rowing is an outdoor sport. Coaches may adjust, relocate, shorten, or reschedule sessions when weather or water conditions require it. Weather-related changes do not automatically result in refunds unless the full season is cancelled. We will schedule make-up sessions if possible but this is not guaranteed.

We understand that plans can change. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to steven@waynorrowing.org.

Athlete Information

Name
To help place athletes in the right program, please enter your athlete’s age as of September 11, the first day of practice. Athletes outside the listed age range may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us directly at steven@waynorrowing.org to discuss eligibility.
Please enter your athlete’s school grade for the 2026–27 school year. Athletes outside the listed grade range may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us directly at steven@waynorrowing.org to discuss eligibility.
Please share anything helpful for us to know about your athlete’s prior sport experience. Athletes do not need prior experience in any sport to participate. However, rowing is a physically demanding activity, and athletes should have a basic level of fitness that allows them to participate safely in practices and on-water activities.

Swimming Ability

Rowers are unlikely to enter the water during normal practice, and athletes will wear Coast Guard-approved personal flotation devices at all times while on the water. However, there is always a small possibility that an athlete could end up in the water. For that reason, all athletes must be able to meet Waynor Rowing’s swimming requirements.

Drag & Drop Files, Choose Files to Upload
If your athlete has already completed a swim test that meets or exceeds Waynor Rowing’s requirements, you may upload the completed form here. The form must confirm that the athlete can tread water for at least two minutes, and it must be completed and signed by a certified lifeguard.

Fall Program Selection

Fall rowing runs from September 11 through October 30, with practices held twice each week on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. There will be no practice on Wednesday, October 21. Because consistent participation is important for athlete development and team safety, athletes should be able to attend at least 80% of scheduled practices.
Athletes may register for only one time slot and should plan to attend that same session on both Wednesdays and Fridays.
