Payment, Cancellation and Refunds
Payment:
Your Program Membership fee is listed on the registration form below. Payment is due at registration.
Cancellation and Refunds:
- Before the program begins: Membership payments may be refunded less a nonrefundable enrollment deposit of $100.
- After the program begins: Program Membership fees are 50% refundable for athletes who cancel within the first week of practice. At the start of the second week, membership fees are nonrefundable.
- Illness, injury, or unexpected family circumstances: Waynor Rowing will make reasonable efforts to work with families when an athlete cannot continue because of circumstances outside their control. Any credit, partial refund, or transfer will be considered individually.
- Program cancellation by Waynor Rowing: Families may choose a full refund or transfer to another available Waynor Rowing program.
- Weather and water conditions: Rowing is an outdoor sport. Coaches may adjust, relocate, shorten, or reschedule sessions when weather or water conditions require it. Weather-related changes do not automatically result in refunds unless the full season is cancelled. We will schedule make-up sessions if possible but this is not guaranteed.
We understand that plans can change. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to steven@waynorrowing.org.
Participation Expectations
Waynor Rowing is a team experience for young athletes built around challenge, teamwork, discipline, and growth. Athletes are expected to:
- Follow coach instructions and all safety expectations.
- Arrive on time and prepared for each session.
- Wear appropriate athletic clothing and secure footwear.
- Treat teammates, coaches, staff, equipment, and the environment with respect.
- Participate in a way that supports a positive, focused team environment.
- Waynor Rowing may pause or end participation when an athlete’s behavior or safety needs cannot be appropriately supported within the program.
- Before participating in on-water programs, athletes must complete a swim test administered by a certified lifeguard. Athletes must demonstrate the ability to tread water for two minutes. Swim-test requirements must be completed before an athlete’s first on-water session. We understand that some young rowers are still developing their swimming ability. Swim test exemptions are available for participants who wear a Waynor-provided PFD whenever they are in the boat.
- If your child would like to participate but needs an exemption, please email Steven directly at steven@waynorrowing.org before registering so we can discuss the accommodation.
